Captivating City - Dublin

Dublin (Baile Átha Cliath)- A city where you will see people with different ethnicity, culture and kinds. City that has breezy day and bright nights. Its beauty is astonishing...river Liffey done its job nicely. The Spire has its own glaze, situated at O'Connell street. Grafton street that is close to O'Connell  is so lively that one could spend hours watching it. Locals do many street shows on the street.

Summers here in Dublin aren't exactly summers, you would feel little cold through out the day, not sure about the Dubliners but if you don't belong to this land you might catch cold in summers. Something that caught my attention was "Dublin's showers". You may saw sunny morning when you took off  but when you drove couple of miles you'll have to switch your car's wipers on...That's the magic of this land.

There is a lot to do in Dublin, you could do hours of shopping in Dublin city center or if you're an epicure than you could find many places around Dublin city center to put your taste buds at ease. Temple Bar and Guinness Store house are the common places of tourists attraction,  A pint of Guinness would definitely make you fall in love with this city. After hours of roaming and reading i came to know some funny facts about the city, would love to share some of them with my readers. The renowned "Temple Bar" was home of many popular artists in 1980s. Dublin has a vibrant nightlife and its in Europe's most youthful cities, half of the locals in Dublin are in their early 20s. Dublin has got 666 licensed pubs, there are plenty of places you want to go crazy for, I've came to know that once Quentin Tarrantino was refused a pint from stag's head when he tried to pull 'Do you know who i am?' card, i found it quite amusing. There is a pub named after grave diggers, people who dig graves in 18th century, knocks this pub's wall for a pint.

Language could be the biggest barrier when you are in a foreign land, If you know good English you can easily assimilate in Dublin, though locals use Irish but its limited within in their friends & family circles. Its conspicuous to hear chatters in Irish when you're in a public transport but personally i don't feel that its imperative to know Irish language to get assimilated in Dublin. Locals are friendly but if you're at the wrong side they won't think twice to slap you on your face.

"Spells & Voodoo"

Black magic, spells, voodoos and curses are the things that can turn ones life drastically, its the grey area, we don't know what actually it is but we scare to unfold the truth behind it. We only know the brighter side of a human's mind "its creativity",But when we see something like that we have to believe the darker side of human, can cause a disaster.  why would they do that? or should i say what provoke them to do these kinda things to someone. I find it interesting that how can a piece of a cloth turned into a life taking doll.
Voodoo has been popular from the oldest religion known to humankind, originating around 7,000 years ago. The word voodoo means "spirit". Voodoo believers accept the existence of one god, and the powerful spirits are known as “loa”. The Voodoo doll is used to represent the spirit of a specific person. You can address the doll as if you are talking to that person, requesting a change in attitude, influencing the person to act in accordance with your wishes, your desires.Once you get the possession of an authentic Voodoo doll, you can request the doll to call upon powerful forces loa.
Believers tell that if you want to cast a spell on voodoo doll, you have to be very clam and composed, you need to give all your attention to the voodoo you made, place that in to a circle and place your rival's favorite possession in that circle and then chant "I command you, I control you, I compel you". Hear my voice !  Take needle and heat it up in candle and prick it. It can't kill your rival but it might give him/her acute joint pain, stinging sensation etc. Believing in these kinda of things are not advised but they are true, questioning their existence may led to a big trouble.
What inspired me to write about these things are movies that i watched recently "The craft" and "Raaz 3". I find it little disturbing that how could a vengeful person possibly kill some one with remotely located miniature of that person, the concept thrilled me and i was bound to write about it. Its macabre but to talk about it, would let my readers know about it.
